Can I install third party software on my SWEP computer?

Yes: Third party software can be installed on your SWEP computer. However, it is your responsibility to ensure the software does not conflict with the Sedao software. It is also your responsibility to ensure the third party software is correctly licensed. Any errors caused by third party software are not covered by the Sedao warranty.  Any consequential hardware damage may invalidate your warranty. Any Sedao support and training services will not cover third party software.

Can I update Windows on my SWEP computer?

Yes: SWEP computers are installed with the latest Microsoft® Windows® updates at the factory. Automatic updates have been disabled to ensure smooth performance at all times. All future updates are installed at your own risk. Any software errors caused by updates are not covered by the warranty. In most circumstances, it is unnecessary to install any additional updates other than critical security updates. If in doubt please contact your Sedao representative.

Do I need to back-up my SWEP computer?

It is highly recommended that regular back-ups of your Sedao system are taken. The most important folder to back-up will be the folder that contains all your media and presentation ‘.sif’ files. In the event of a system failure, Sedao may not be able to recover any lost or damaged files from the computer and will not be liable for any consequential costs or losses. A regular automated backup to a remote location is recommended.

I have lost my license key, what can I do?

In the first instance, contact your Sedao representative with your order number and contact details. Sedao does not release or replace lost license keys. It is crucial that all license information is kept in a secure location from the time of purchase. In the event of a loss of site license information, Sedao can usually access your license information providing it has been correctly registered. There may be an administration charge for this service.

Can I install Anti-Virus Software onto the SWEP computer?

Yes: Anti-Virus software can be installed onto SWEP computers. Please be aware that some anti-virus programs can interfere with the operation of Sedao software. To solve this, exceptions may need to be made at your discretion. AVG® and F-Secure® anti-virus products are known to work well alongside Sedao software.
