Sedao Display Related FAQ's

Can I change the resolution of my SWEP computer?

Yes: SWEP computers support a range of common resolutions. SWEP computers can display very high resolutions suitable for larger screens. For best quality display, we suggest you use the native resolution of your display panel, even if the display panel can display higher resolutions. You can find the native resolution in the documentation received with the panel.

What can I check if the display appears to be out of focus or has the wrong colours?

Please check the cables between the SWEP computer and your display screen. This is normally caused by cable faults such as bent pins or fractures, poorly made connections, or distribution systems configured incorrectly. Please ensure the resolution and refresh rate set on the SWEP computer is appropriate for the display(s) being used. For further guidance please contact your Sedao representative.

Why am I not getting a picture on my display screen?

When you first turn on the player, do you see the BIOS message? If not, please ensure the video cables are operational – connecting the player direct to a display using a known working VGA lead will confirm this.  If you do see the BIOS message but then nothing further, then it may be that the SWEP computer is set to a resolution that your display can’t use.  Contact Sedao support for assistance with this.  SWEP computers are set to 1024 x 768 at the factory so should support the widest possible range of displays.

Why do the files that I created on my design PC or laptop look different on my display?

This is usually caused by a discrepancy between the aspect ratio of your design PC screen and your presentation screen. When designing on a 4:3 aspect desktop monitor for a 16:9 / 16:10 widescreen monitor, use the mimic mode found in the ‘Preferences’ menu to replicate a 16:9 aspect ratio on your 4:3 screen. The mimic mode also allows you to design portrait screen layouts on landscape monitors. For more information please consult the ImageFlyer manual.

Can I use my screen in portrait?

Yes: ImageFlyer is resolution independent. SWEP computers and other PC’s that support screen rotation can thus display in portrait mode. Look for an icon installed in the taskbar relating to the graphics card – most commonly ATI Catalyst, or Intel 945.  Some discontinued SWEP computers may not support screen rotation.
